A closing plug seals an unused port on SCHAERER beverage equipment, preventing leaks and contamination while the machine is in service. The plug is pressed into the port until its flange seats against the outer surface, creating a static seal without threads or moving parts.

To fit the plug, the operator cleans the port, aligns the plug with the opening, and presses it home by hand or with a soft-faced tool. No adhesive or additional sealing compound is required; the low-density polyethylene material flexes slightly to fill minor imperfections in the port wall. Once seated, the plug remains in place until the port is needed for a connection or accessory.

The plug is moulded in black low-density polyethylene, chosen for its chemical resistance to water, cleaning agents and beverage concentrates commonly used in professional catering environments. The material does not corrode, does not support bacterial growth, and can be removed and refitted repeatedly without damage to the port or the plug itself.

This spare part is manufactured to match the port dimensions specified by SCHAERER for particular models of coffee machines and beverage dispensers. It is not interchangeable with plugs from other brands or with SCHAERER plugs of different sizes.
