Automatic bread slicer with variable pitch.
This automatic bread slicer cuts loaves into even slices without manual effort. The blade follows a set path, powered by an electric motor, while the loaf remains stationary on a moving carriage. Each slice is uniform, eliminating the need for manual pressure or repeated cuts, making it safe for customer use in retail spaces.
To operate, the user places a loaf on the carriage, picks one of three slice thickness settings, and starts the machine. The carriage advances, the blade descends, and the slice is cut. After the blade retracts, the carriage moves forward by the selected thickness, and the next cut begins. This cycle continues until the loaf is fully sliced, at which point the carriage returns to the starting position and the machine stops. Safety is maintained through contactless switches and an electronic control unit, which prevent operation if the guard is open or the carriage is misaligned.
The slicer is constructed on a stainless-steel frame. The blade is housed behind a clear guard, allowing visibility while protecting users. The carriage, also stainless steel, includes guides to keep the loaf aligned. Controls—a start button, stop button, and thickness selector—are positioned on the front panel for easy access.
A 400 V three-phase power supply suits continuous use in busy environments, ensuring smooth motor operation and preventing overheating during repeated slicing. The unit weighs between 240 and 280 kg, making it a floor-standing model that remains in place once positioned. Its dimensions allow it to fit into a typical workspace, with space for the operator and loaf loading. The maximum loaf size of 440 mm by 300 mm accommodates most standard bakery loaves, including larger varieties.
Maintenance involves removing the guard and wiping the blade and carriage with a damp cloth to remove crumbs and residue. The guard can be washed separately, and stainless-steel surfaces should be cleaned to uphold hygiene standards. The electronic control unit and safety switches need only occasional dusting and protection from moisture.
The S50S is a standalone model without variations, designed for self-service use in commercial settings.
