Automatic bread slicer with high hourly output rate.
An automatic bread slicer built for continuous production, the Rollmatic MI52 takes whole loaves at the rear and delivers evenly sliced portions without manual feeding. A motorised belt carries each loaf forward while an electrically driven blade assembly moves vertically, cutting through the bread in a single pass. The combination of belt speed and blade pitch determines slice thickness, allowing the operator to switch between fine sandwich slices and thicker artisan cuts in moments.
Operation begins by setting the desired pitch—from 9 mm to 20 mm—on the control panel. The loaf is placed on the rear loading surface, where the belt automatically engages and draws it into the cutting chamber. As the bread advances, the blade descends at the chosen interval, slicing cleanly before retracting for the next cycle. The operator monitors the process through a clear viewing window, intervening only to clear jams or replenish the supply of loaves.
The machine is constructed from stainless steel panels mounted on a welded steel frame, designed to withstand the vibration and wear of daily service. A rear-mounted motor drives both the conveyor belt and the blade mechanism, while adjustable feet ensure stability on uneven floors. The control panel houses push-button switches for power, belt speed and cutting height, each clearly labelled for quick adjustment during production.
A power rating of 0.75 kW indicates a modest load on a three-phase 400 V circuit, typical of professional bakery equipment. The unit's footprint—110 cm deep by 216 cm wide—requires a dedicated worktop or stand, while its weight of 350 to 430 kg means it is moved only with a pallet truck or forklift. The adjustable cutting height accommodates loaves of varying heights, from baguettes to large sandwich loaves, without manual resetting.
Cleaning is limited to the parts the entry names: the stainless steel surfaces are wiped down after each shift, the conveyor belt is brushed free of crumbs, and the blade assembly is removed for sharpening as needed. The motorised belt and cutting mechanism require no daily lubrication, reducing maintenance time.
The MI52 is offered with ten pitch options—9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 and 20 mm—allowing bakeries to standardise on a single machine for multiple products. It is positioned in the Rollmatic catalogue under automatic slicing equipment for high-volume production.
