A remote temperature and humidity monitoring system continuously monitors your cold equipment — refrigerators, display cases, cooling and freezing chambers, cold tables, freezers and wine cabinets. Data is visible on your phone or computer at any time, while the system immediately sends an alert notification in case of deviations. Measurements are automatically saved and useful for HACCP reports.
Remote temperature and humidity monitoring systems.
Remote temperature and humidity monitoring systems
Every piece of cold equipment is only as safe as the products stored in it. A remote monitoring system continuously — 24/7 — measures temperature and air humidity in your equipment and immediately alerts you if values exceed permissible limits. You learn about the problem within minutes, not the next morning when the goods already need to be written off.
Where it is used
The system can be connected to virtually any cold equipment regardless of manufacturer and age:
- refrigerators and freezer cabinets
- cooling and freezing chambers
- retail display cases, salad and meat counters
- cold work tables and freezing tables
- wine cabinets and climate cabinets
- blast freezers and rapid cooling equipment
- warehouses, production rooms, curing and maturation chambers
- pharmacy, laboratory and medical facility refrigerators
What the system provides
- Real-time monitoring — temperature and humidity at every point are visible on your phone or computer at any time and from any location.
- Alert signals — notification via email, SMS or mobile app if the temperature exceeds the set limit, doors are left open or power is lost.
- Automatic data logging — measurement history is saved and available in graphs and reports. No more manual paper logs.
- Compliance with HACCP — ready-made reports for food safety requirements and inspections by regulatory authorities.
- Loss prevention — timely warning of compressor, fan or door seal issues allows you to save goods and avoid costly repairs.
- Energy and equipment resource savings — data shows which equipment is overloaded or defrosts too frequently.
BHS performs full system programming and implementation
BHS specialists not only supply the equipment — we also program and adapt it specifically for your facility. Each piece of equipment is set with individual temperature and humidity ranges, defrosting period exceptions, alarm delays and recipient lists, so the system warns of real problems rather than creating unnecessary alerts.
Contact BHS, and we will prepare a solution tailored to the number of your equipment, facility size and industry requirements.
How the system works
A temperature or temperature and humidity sensor is placed at each monitored point. Sensors transmit data to a data concentrator or directly to the cloud platform using wireless or wired solutions — depending on the facility layout and existing infrastructure. Data is collected at set intervals (usually from 1 to 15 minutes) and is accessible via a web interface or mobile app.
Types and applications of sensors
- Air temperature sensors — for display cases, refrigerators, chambers and room climate.
- Product simulation (glycol) sensors — show the actual product temperature, not short-term air fluctuations during door opening or defrosting.
- Low-temperature probes — for freezers and blast freezers down to deep sub-zero.
- Combined temperature and humidity sensors — for wine cabinets, maturation chambers, vegetable and flower storage, warehouses.
- Additional sensors — door opening contacts, power outage monitoring, water leak detectors.
Alarm logic
Each point is defined with upper and lower limit values, as well as a delay time — how long a deviation may last before a notification is sent. This prevents false alarms during defrosting cycles or product loading. It is possible to create multiple escalation levels: the first notification to the shift supervisor, repeated — to the facility manager or service department. The system also records who and when acknowledged the alarm.
Reports and documentation
- Temperature graphs for a selected period for each piece of equipment separately
- Automatic daily, weekly or monthly reports sent to email
- Alarm log with resolution notes
- Data export in PDF and Excel formats for inspections and internal audits
Suitable for facilities
Restaurants, cafés and catering companies, shops and supermarkets, meat and fish processing, confectioneries and bakeries, hotels, wholesale and logistics warehouses, pharmacies and medical facilities, wine shops and restaurant wine cellars.
BHS service range
- Facility inspection — we assess the number, types and layout of equipment and coverage possibilities.
- Solution proposal — number and type of sensors and system configuration tailored to your budget.
- Programming and configuration — limit values, delays, user permissions, notification recipients, report templates.
- Staff training — working with the app, acknowledging alarms, preparing reports.
- Maintenance and servicing — system checks, sensor replacement, configuration changes, expansion with new equipment.
The system can be expanded at any time — starting with a few critical points and gradually adding other equipment, branches or facilities in one unified overview.
