CAPITOL SS

Self-service laundry dryers CAPITOL SS 8–35 kg for loads from 8–35 kg

A self-service laundry dryer determines turnover. The customer occupies the machine for as long as the cycle lasts, so every minute saved means more people served per day. At the same time, drying is the largest energy cost item in a laundry.

Danube self-service dryers are the same industrial models, adapted for coin laundry mode — Danube indicates that the OPL version can easily be converted to the self-service version. All capacities from 8 to 35 kg and all design types are available: single-chamber, double-chamber and heat pump.

They are chosen by self-service laundry owners, residential complex and service hotel operators, campsites, marinas, student dormitories and hotels with a self-service laundry corner for guests.

Available models

DPR 8-10 self-service — professional 8 and 10 kg dryers for small laundries and facilities with low traffic.

Single-chamber SILVER / BRONZE / BASIC — from 11 to 35 kg, three classes according to workload and budget.

Double-chamber STD XP SILVER / BRONZE / BASIC — two independent chambers in one body, double capacity in the same floor space.

Heat pump GOLD — for laundries without an external exhaust or with very limited space.

Three classes

  • SILVER — ET2 control, fully programmable, with additional functions, including Care Dry moisture control. ET2 SILVER models come with Danube Online IoT connection as standard.
  • BRONZE — EM control, simpler, with time and temperature selection.
  • BASIC — the most economical class with EM control and white-painted panels.

Common features for all classes

  • Reversing cylinder for all models — laundry does not tangle and dries evenly.
  • Large lint filter with a wide surface — easy to maintain under intensive daily use.
  • Cool Down — cooling at the end of the cycle so the customer does not remove hot, wrinkled laundry.
  • Electric or gas heating — choice depending on the facility’s connections.
  • Convertible from OPL version — the same model can be used in both modes.

Payment options

  • Electronic coin mechanism for coins or tokens, available in various currencies.
  • Mechanical coin mechanism for coins or tokens.
  • Central payment — the customer pays in one place and selects the machine.

Equipment features

CARE IRON / CARE DRY moisture control (SILVER), SPRINKLER fire safety system (SILVER), stainless steel body or front panel (SILVER), double door glass (SILVER and BRONZE), programming console for EM programmer (BRONZE and BASIC), reversible door opening (all classes), tropicalized design (ET2), lint filter with 0.6 or 1,2 mm mesh (standard 0,3 mm), fragrance dosing system (SILVER).

Frequently asked questions

How many dryers are needed per washing machine?

In practice, laundries calculate at least one dryer per washing machine, often more, since the drying cycle is usually longer than the washing cycle. If there are not enough dryers, a queue forms, and customers leave.

Which class should be chosen?

SILVER if you want to remotely monitor machines, program cycles and use Care Dry moisture control. BRONZE if time and temperature selection is sufficient. BASIC if the initial investment is decisive.

How does Care Dry help the laundry?

Moisture control stops the cycle when the laundry is dry, so it is not dried unnecessarily. This reduces electricity consumption per cycle and frees up the machine for the next customer faster.

How do customers pay?

By choice: coins or tokens directly in the machine or at a central payment station. Several methods can be combined in one laundry.

Why is a large lint filter important?

In a self-service laundry, the customer does not clean the filter, but the staff, who check it once a day or less often. A large filter maintains airflow longer, so the machine does not operate clogged between cleanings.

Is an external exhaust needed?

Yes for single-chamber and double-chamber models. Heat pump GOLD models do not require an exhaust, which allows setting up a laundry in a room without an exterior wall.

How large a dryer should be installed in the laundry?

A typical laundry installs dryers of various sizes: 11–14 kg for everyday laundry and at least one 28 or 35 kg for duvets and down jackets. Large machines usually offer the highest price per cycle.
