What is a barrier-type laundry machine?

It is a through-flow machine with two opposite doors, built into a partition wall between soiled and clean laundry rooms. Soiled linen is loaded from one side and removed from the other, and both doors can never be open at the same time. This physically prevents cross-contamination.

Where is a barrier-type machine mandatory?

In hospitals, care homes and nursing facilities, laboratories and cleanrooms, as well as food production plants — wherever hygiene requirements call for the separation of soiled and clean zones. Regulations typically specify infection control requirements and internal hygiene plans.

The MED series is damped and does not require anchoring, which significantly simplifies installation. DBW and AS-100 are free-standing.

What is a Pullman cylinder?

A cylinder divided into compartments, allowing several separate laundry batches to be processed simultaneously. This saves time and improves ergonomics during unloading. Standard on AS-100, optional on DBW-27, 35 and 50 models.

Is a partition wall required?
