Self-service laundry machines 8–80 kg
A self-service laundry machine operates without an attendant, often from early morning until late evening, and is used by people who see the equipment for the first time. Therefore, durability is not the only important factor here, but also intuitive controls, a reliable payment system, and the ability to monitor the machine’s operation remotely.
Danube self-service machines are the same industrial WPR, WED and WEN models, adapted for coin-operated laundry mode. All come as standard with Easy Touch 2 controls featuring a 7" touchscreen, IoT connectivity Danube Online, and telemetry — you can see each machine’s cycles, revenue, and errors without being on-site. The screen can also display videos: advertisements or usage instructions for the customer.
These are chosen by owners of self-service laundries, residential complexes, service hotels, campsites, marinas, student dormitories, and hotels offering laundry services to guests.
Available models
WPR 8-10 ET2 SELF SERVICE — professional 8 and 10 kg machines, suitable for small coin-operated laundries and locations with low footfall.
WED 11-14-18-22 ET2 SELF SERVICE — high spin machines with a G-factor of 500 in models from 11 to 18 kg and a 450 model 22 kg. Shorter drying times mean faster customer turnover and higher daily revenue.
WED 28-35C-45C ET2 SELF SERVICE — larger capacity high spin machines for duvets, down jackets, and large items, which are typically the most expensive service on the laundry’s price list.
WEN 11-14-18-22 ET2 SELF SERVICE and WEN 28-35C-45C-60C-80C ET2 SELF SERVICE — standard spin, floor-anchored machines for a more economical solution.

Frequently asked questions
How does a self-service machine differ from a standard industrial one?
Technically, it is the same machine. The difference lies in the configuration: a payment system is added, programmes are locked to prevent unauthorised changes, and the controls are adapted so that they can be used by someone without training.
Which set of machines should be installed in a new laundry?
A typical laundry operates with machines of several sizes: a few 11–14 kg for everyday laundry, one or two 18–22 kg for family-sized loads, and at least one 28 kg or larger for duvets and down jackets. It is usually the large machines that generate the highest profit per cycle.
Can I monitor the laundry remotely?
Yes. IoT connectivity Danube Online is included as standard and free of charge — you can see each machine’s cycles, consumption, and error notifications.
How do customers pay?
By choice: coins or tokens directly in the machine, a centralised payment station Danube Laundry Kiosk, or the mobile app. Several methods can be combined in one laundry.
Should I choose WED or WEN?
For a self-service laundry, WED usually pays off: the high G-factor shortens drying time, the customer frees up the machine faster, and you can serve more people per day. WEN is an option if the initial budget is limited.
Do the machines need to be anchored to the floor?
WPR and WED do not need to be anchored. The WEN series must be secured to the floor.
