A washing machine and dryer are only half of a laundry. The other half is how the customer pays and how the laundry moves between the equipment. These details determine daily how quickly the staff works and how comfortable the customer feels.
This section contains Danube payment solutions for self-service laundries and laundry transport and packaging accessories that are suitable for both self-service and in-house laundry rooms.
Danube states that adding a coin or token mechanism allows you to quickly and easily convert an in-house laundry room into a self-service laundry.
Pedestals for loading height, dosing pump kits, Care Dry sensors, Sprinkler systems and similar are not separate accessories — these are specific equipment options that must be ordered together with the machine. They are listed in the "Equipment options" section of each equipment category.
Can a coin mechanism be installed on an existing machine?
Danube equipment is designed so that the in-house version can be converted to self-service mode. Whether this is possible for your specific machine depends on the model and age — send us the model number, and we will check.
Coins, tokens or card — which to choose?
Tokens protect against theft and allow you to control the price, but require a token dispenser. Coins are more familiar to customers. A card and phone via a kiosk or app mean there is no cash in the laundry at all — this is safer and increasingly expected today.
How does the Danube Laundry Kiosk work?
It is a central payment station: the customer approaches, selects a machine, pays by card or phone, and the equipment is released. Cash is not kept in the machines, so both the risk of theft and the time staff spend emptying the mechanisms are reduced.
Why separate dry and wet laundry trolleys?
Wet laundry is much heavier and drips water, so these trolleys have a different design and capacity. Wet laundry should not be placed in dry laundry trolleys — they are not designed for it and will wear out faster.
How many trolleys are needed for a laundry room?
In practice, at least two: one for dirty laundry and one for clean. If the facility has hygiene requirements with zone separation, they must not be the same and must not move between zones.
Is packaging equipment necessary for a hotel?
Usually not.
