The BRAVILOR BONAMAT RLX SERIES is a range of high-performance filter coffee brewers designed for locations with high coffee consumption — restaurants, hotel dining rooms, event centres and office canteens. The RLX SERIES is available in three versions according to the coffee storage and serving format: RLX with Container, RLX with Glass Decanter and RLX with Thermos. This range is part of the BRAVILOR BONAMAT professional coffee machine assortment, available in the BHS range for HoReCa businesses across Europe. The BHS team helps select the most suitable RLX version and ensures machine installation.
BHS offers the RLX SERIES as part of its Coffee Machines range. Also available are Accessories for RLX Series and Coffee Machine with Grinder.
The RLX SERIES is BRAVILOR BONAMAT’s classic filtered coffee solution for HoReCa businesses — suitable for restaurants, corporate events and hotel breakfast areas where fast brewing of large quantities of coffee is required. Filtered coffee is widely used in catering businesses, and the RLX series provides a professional solution for this.
The RLX with Container is a model with an insulated coffee container that keeps coffee hot longer than a glass carafe. Suitable for locations with high consumption and continuous demand, where coffee needs to be kept hot for extended periods.
The RLX with Glass Decanter brews coffee into a glass carafe that is kept warm on a heating plate. A classic solution for restaurants and cafés where coffee is consumed quickly after brewing.
The RLX with Thermos uses an insulated thermos container that maintains coffee temperature without continuous heating. A more energy-efficient solution, suitable for events or locations where coffee is brewed in advance.
Restaurants and cafés use the RLX series to provide filtered coffee for large numbers of guests — brewing in batches and serving quickly. The glass decanter version is suitable for active consumption, while the thermos is better for slower demand.
Hotel breakfast areas and buffets use the RLX container version to maintain large volumes of coffee hot during breakfast service, when demand is high and fluctuating.
Event centres and catering companies use the RLX with thermos to prepare coffee in advance and transport it to the event location.
The choice between the three RLX versions is based on the rhythm of coffee consumption and storage needs. The glass decanter is suitable for active and fast consumption, while the container or thermos is better for longer storage. The BHS team can help select the most suitable version for a specific business.
RLX series machines require regular Accessories for RLX Series — water filters, cleaning supplies and other maintenance components.
The RLX series is designed specifically for use in large canteens and events — the machine brews coffee in large batches, which is more efficient than many small batches in sequence. Large office canteens, university cafés and event centres use high-capacity filtered coffee machines daily, as filtered coffee is a faster and simpler solution for large numbers of customers than individual espresso cups. The RLX series ensures high productivity while maintaining consistent coffee flavour in every brewing batch.
The three RLX versions differ in their coffee storage method after brewing. The RLX with glass decanter is the classic version — coffee goes into a glass carafe on a heating plate, which is a more affordable solution, but coffee stays fresh for only 30–40 minutes. The RLX with thermos provides longer storage without heat loss — suitable for locations with irregular demand. The RLX with container is ideal for large breakfast buffets, where coffee demand is continuous and high throughout the breakfast period.
Filtered coffee in the RLX machine is prepared from ground coffee placed in a filter. For optimal coffee strength, the recommended dose is 55–65 grams of ground coffee per litre of water, though each business adjusts this to their customers' preferences. BRAVILOR BONAMAT RLX machines are equipped with adjustable dispensers that ensure precise dose control in every brewing batch. The coffee grind size should be suitable for the filtration method — medium grind coffee ensures optimal water flow rate through the filter.
BRAVILOR BONAMAT RLX machines require regular maintenance to preserve coffee flavour and machine longevity. The filter holder should be cleaned after each brewing batch, removing used coffee grounds. Once a week, more thorough cleaning with specialised solutions is recommended to prevent coffee oil buildup. The water filter should be replaced regularly according to the manufacturer’s recommendations — limescale deposits affect both coffee flavour and machine lifespan. BHS provides maintenance supplies and service.
The output of RLX series machines depends on the specific model and container capacity. The BHS team can provide precise output data for a specific model upon request. When choosing an RLX version, it is important to specify the maximum consumption during peak hours, not the average, to ensure the machine meets full demand.
During intensive use, the filter should be cleaned after each brewing batch, and the internal systems at least once a week. The BHS service team can set up a maintenance schedule and perform professional machine cleaning, extending the machine’s service life and maintaining coffee flavour quality.
