Freezer EWA P-M 500 liter. Temperature range -18ºC/-12ºC
A commercial freezer that removes heat from stored food by circulating chilled air through a ventilated system. The cooling unit, positioned at the bottom, draws warm air from the interior, cools it, and redistributes it evenly across every shelf. This dynamic cooling method prevents hot spots and maintains a consistent temperature throughout the cabinet, ensuring frozen goods remain at the required low temperature without fluctuations.
To operate, the user loads food onto the five plasticised mesh shelves or the lower base shelf, adjusting shelf heights as needed to accommodate different-sized items. The hinged door can be set to open left or right, allowing flexible placement in the kitchen layout. Once loaded, the electronic temperature regulator is set via the digital display, selecting a temperature between -18 °C and -12 °C. The freezer automatically defrosts, melting ice build-up without manual intervention, and drains the water through an encoder output to an external container. An alarm sounds if the condenser becomes clogged or the fan malfunctions, alerting staff to potential cooling issues before they affect stored goods.
The outer body is constructed from coated steel, available in various colours to match kitchen aesthetics, while the interior is lined with white coated steel for easy cleaning and visibility. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation fills the walls, reducing heat transfer and improving energy efficiency. The unit stands on adjustable feet to level it on uneven floors, and its 660 mm width, 740 mm depth, and 1980 mm height allow it to fit through standard kitchen doorways while maximising vertical storage space.
The 500-litre volume provides ample capacity for bulk frozen storage, while the 110 kg weight ensures stability without being too heavy to move with a trolley. The 6.5 kWh per 24-hour power consumption reflects the load it places on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated 230 V, 50 Hz circuit. The refrigerant options—R404a, R507, R448, or R449—are selected for their cooling efficiency and compliance with current environmental standards.
Cleaning involves wiping down the white coated steel interior and plasticised mesh shelves with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The exterior coated steel can be cleaned similarly, avoiding abrasive materials that could damage the finish. The automatic defrost system eliminates the need for manual defrosting, but the external container should be emptied regularly to prevent overflow. The condenser and fan should be checked periodically for dust accumulation, which can impede airflow and reduce efficiency.
The freezer is categorised as standard professional refrigeration equipment, designed for use in commercial kitchens, food storage facilities, and catering operations where reliable frozen storage is essential.
