Stainless steel service trolley with refrigerated electric plates, suitable for desserts, appetizers, cold cuts and cheese
A service trolley built to keep prepared dishes chilled while they are wheeled from the kitchen to the servery. The CA1165 relies on eight eutectic plates that freeze solid overnight and then slowly release cold during service. This passive cooling needs no power cord, so the trolley moves freely without trailing cables or needing a nearby socket.
The operator loads the stainless-steel bowl and grid with up to five GN1/4 gastronorm containers and five smaller GN1/6 containers, each 65 mm deep. A transparent Plexiglas lid, 150 mm high, sits over the top to shield the food from airborne particles while still letting customers see what is available. The lid lifts off for replenishing, and the entire assembly rolls on castors so one person can push a full load of 80 kg.
Every surface is stainless steel AISI 304, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of sanitising. The frame measures 1060 mm long, 570 mm wide and 1040 mm high, giving a footprint that fits through standard kitchen doorways and alongside worktops. Four fixed castors keep the unit stable, while two swivel castors at the front allow tight turns in crowded corridors.
Cleaning follows the same routine as any stainless-steel work surface: wipe down with a damp cloth and approved sanitiser after each service. The eutectic plates require no daily attention; they are recharged overnight in a freezer, ready for the next day's service. The Plexiglas lid can be removed and washed separately if needed.
The trolley is supplied with the eight eutectic plates, the stainless-steel bowl, the grid and the Plexiglas lid. Gastronorm containers must be purchased separately to match the kitchen's existing stock.
