A dish draining trolley collects washed plates, bowls and utensils on open shelves so air can circulate freely around each piece. The gaps between shelves allow steam to rise and evaporate, speeding up the drying process without towels or heat. Because the shelves are perforated or slatted, water drips through and collects in a tray at the base, keeping the worktop or floor dry. The trolley itself is mounted on castors, so staff can wheel it from the pot-wash area to the plating station or storage cupboard without lifting heavy loads.
To use the trolley, staff load washed items onto the shelves, spacing them so air can reach every surface. The unit is then left in a well-ventilated spot until the items are dry. Once dry, the trolley can be moved to the point of use or stored until service begins. The three shelves allow different types of crockery or glassware to be organised by size or function, reducing the risk of chipping during transport.
The FORCAR CA1399 is built as a mobile rack with three shelves. The overall dimensions of 1100 mm wide, 620 mm deep and 1340 mm high give it a footprint that fits alongside most commercial dishwashers and under standard worktop heights. The height of 1340 mm places the top shelf at a comfortable reach for most staff, while the width of 1100 mm allows two rows of plates to be laid side by side on each shelf. The depth of 620 mm provides enough space for larger platters without overhanging the edges.
Cleaning is straightforward: shelves and frame are wiped down with a damp cloth and sanitiser after each shift, and the drip tray is emptied and rinsed to prevent standing water. The castors should be checked periodically for smooth rolling and debris caught in the wheels.
The trolley is listed in the FORCAR catalogue under mobile storage and dishroom equipment.
