Shelf for dishwasher basket Novameta LSB1-60-53-35

A wall-mounted shelf holds dishwasher baskets off the worktop, freeing the counter for other tasks while the baskets air-dry. The shelf is fixed to the wall at a convenient height, so staff can slide baskets in and out without bending or lifting from floor level. Because the baskets are raised, air circulates underneath, speeding up drying and reducing the risk of trapped moisture that can harbour bacteria.

To use the shelf, the operator first secures it to a solid wall with the fixings supplied. Once mounted, each basket is placed directly onto the shelf surface. The shelf is sized to match standard dishwasher baskets, so the baskets sit flush and do not overhang. After the wash cycle, the baskets are transferred straight from the dishwasher to the shelf, where they remain until needed again. No stacking is required, so each basket is immediately accessible and the risk of damage from unstable piles is eliminated.

The shelf is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and moisture. The surface is smooth and unperforated, which prevents dirt from collecting in crevices and makes cleaning straightforward. The edges are folded to create a lip, preventing baskets from sliding off during use. The overall design is rigid, with no moving parts, so it can support the weight of multiple loaded baskets without sagging or shifting.

The controls are limited to the mounting hardware: wall plugs and screws that secure the shelf to the wall. These fixings are selected to bear the weight of the shelf plus the maximum load of filled baskets.

A width of 600 mm matches the standard width of a commercial dishwasher, allowing the shelf to sit directly above or beside the machine. The 530 mm depth accommodates baskets up to 500 mm square, leaving a small margin for safe handling. The 350 mm height is the vertical space the shelf occupies once mounted, which helps plan the layout of the washing area. The shelf itself adds no depth to the worktop, so it does not encroach on floor space.

Cleaning is done with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Because the shelf is stainless steel, it can be wiped down quickly between shifts without risk of rust or staining. The smooth surface means no scrubbing is needed, and the lack of joints or seams prevents dirt from accumulating in hard-to-reach areas.

Other sizes are available to fit different dishwasher models and kitchen layouts. The shelf can also be manufactured to custom dimensions if the standard sizes do not match the project requirements.
